Oscar-award-winning composer AR Rahman and director Rajiv Menon are set to team up for a new film. The film stars the musical maestro's nephew GV Prakash as the male lead. The young composer-turned-actor, who made his acting debut with 2015's horror film, Darling, has so far done three Tamil films as the main lead. However, this will be the first time he is teaming up with his uncle, AR Rahman, for a film which has him in a lead role.

The film also marks the Tamil debut of Premam fame, Sai Pallavi. She was earlier set to debut in Kollywood with Maniratnam's upcoming film opposite Karthi. But later Bollywood actress Aditi Rao replaced her for unknown reasons.

Meanwhile with this un-titled film, AR Rahman and Rajiv Menon are teaming up after a long gap of 16 years. The composer-director duo's previous films, Prabhu Deva-Aravind Swamy-Kajol starrer Minsara Kanavu (1997) and Mammootty-Ajith-Aishwarya Rai-Tabu starrer Kandukondain Kandukondain were huge musical-blockbusters at the Box Office.
