Record Alert: Thala Ajith's Vivegam to open with 1650 shows, shatters Baahubali 2 records to get biggest ever release in Kerala

It's party time for Thala Ajith fans as their superstar's upcoming thriller Vivegam is all set top open it's theatrical day in Kerala with a record.

While the opening shows of Vivegam is slated to begin within hours, it has been finalized that the Thala Ajith starrer is all set to open with a record breaking 1650 shows from 309 screens at the Kerala Box Office. It's a historical number of shows in Kerala considering that only SS Rajamouli - Prabhas blockbuster Baahubali 2 managed to get 1500 plus shows on its opening day in Kerala.

The maker of Malayalam cinema's all-time blockbuster Pulimurugan, Mr. Tomichan Mulakkupadam, who's also distributing Vivegam in Kerala confirmed to Catch that he is releasing Vivegam with 1650 shows from 309 screens.

With such a massive release, Vivegam shatters Baahubali 2's records to become the biggest ever release for a film in Kerala. Vivegam also stars Vivek Oberoi, Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan.
