Rajinikanth to play himself in Vikram Prabhu's Neruppu Da

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth's recent blockbuster, Kabali completed its 50 days of theatrical run on Friday. The Thalaivar is currently waiting to resume the shooting of his remaining portions for Shankar's Enthiran 2: 2.0 with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar.

According to latest Tamil media reports, Vikram Prabhu, the grandson of late­ legendary actor Sivaji Ganeshan has requested the superstar to play a cameo in his upcoming film Neruppu Da. Interestingly, Neruppu Da is a chartbuster track from Kabali. Also, in the film Neruppu Da, Vikram Prabhu will be seen portraying the role of a fire ­fighter, who is a great fan of Rajinikanth in the film. The Thalaivar will reportedly play himself in a cameo role in the film.

Meanwhile, Kabali director PA Ranjith has been finalised as the director of Rajinikanth's upcoming film after Enthiran 2, to be produced by his son­-in-­law and National Award-winning actor Dhanush.
