The Rajinikanth-starrer Kabali, which is on its third week the Box Office, has minted a whopping Rs 85 crore - making it the second all-time grosser in Tamil Nadu.

The film has been breaking one record after another since it released on 22 July. The film has collected nearly Rs 4 crore from five multiplexes in the SPI Cinemas chain in Chennai alone.

The Kalaipuli S Thanu production venture has also surpassed the lifetime collections of Ajith's Vedalam, Vikram's I and Vijay's Theri in Tamil Nadu. Interestingly, the top spot is still occupied by the 2010 Thalaiva-starrer, Enthiran.
