One of the most awaited Malayalam films of the year, Mohanlal starrer Villain, is slated to release soon. Directed by B Unnikrishnan, the film is tipped to be an action thriller and will mark the maiden Malayalam venture of Rockline Venkatesh.
Though the entire Kerala moviegoers are waiting for its theatrical release, none other than Rajinikanth has expressed his desire to watch the Mohanlal flick.
Reportedly, the Thalaivar has shown keen interest in watching the Lalettan's Villain soon. And as expected, the makers have already planned a special preview of the film for Rajinkanth in Chennai before its theatrical release. Also, it has to be noted that Villain's producer Rockline Venkatesh also bankrolled the 2014 Rajinikanth starrer Lingaa.
This is not for the first time that Rajinkanth is planning to watch a Mohanlal film before its theatrical release. Last year, the Kabali actor watched Mohanlal, Priyadarshan's Oppam in a special preview show in Chennai.
Villain was recently in news when the overseas rights of the film were sold for a record breaking Rs. 2.5 crore. The film also stars Manju Warrier, Vishal, Hansika, Raashi Khanna, Srikanth, Renji Panciker, Siddique and Chemban Vinod Jose.
Villain is scheduled to hit the screens on 27 October.
