Mohanlal's thriller, Oppam, broke the record set by Premam to become the all-time Malayalam highest opening week. And now, the actor has set yet another unique record with the trailer of his upcoming release, Puli Murugan.
The trailer, which released on 10 September, has clocked in a whopping 1 million views on YouTube. The trailer of his last outing, the Malayalam-dubbed version of his Telugu release, Janatha Garage, has also crossed 1 million YouTube views.
The one minute, 42 second trailer of Puli Murugan introduces the character of Murugan a hunter. The trailer also features the star cast of the film, including Kamalini Mukherjee, Lal and Bala. To top it all, the trailer includes the impressive background score as well as action scenes from Peter Hein's kitty.
Lalettan's look in the film and the sneak peeks of his fight scenes with a leopard has helped the trailer clock in the views.
Pulimurugan will be Mohanlal's third release within a span of 37 days after Janatha Garage and Oppam.
Directed by Vyshak and produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam, Pulimurugan is touted as the costliest Malayalam film to be made till date. Pulimurugan is slated to hit the screens worldwide on 7 October 2016.
