Prithviraj's James and Alice gets U certificate, set for 5 May release

The Censor Board has certified Prithviraj's upcoming film, J​​ames and Alice, with a U certificate. The film is slated to hit the screens on 5 May.​

The young superstar took to his Facebook page to confirm the news.

"​James and Alice censored with U certificate!!"

James and Alice features Prithviraj playing the role of James, an actor-turned-ad filmmaker. Tamil actress Vedhika plays his love interest Alice, a banking professional. The film chronicles the story of a married couple who are torn apart by their busy personal lives.

Baby Akshara Kishore of the popular Malayalam TV show, Karuthamuthu, will be seen essaying the role of their daughter in the film. The film also stars ​Parvathy Nair of Yennai Arindhal fame.

Written by Dr S Janardhanan and produced by Dr S Saji Kumaar and Krishnan Sethukumar,​ ​James and Alice marks the directorial debut of cinematographer Sujith Vaassudev. Gopi Sunder has composed the music for the film.

​​​James and Alice​ is Prithviraj's third release of the year after Pavada and Darwinte Parinamam. While Pavada was a huge success at the Box Office, Darwinte Parinamam​ turned out to be an average fare.​
