After the Box Office success of Oppam, Malayalam actor Mohanlal and director Priyadarshan are all set to team up for another Malayalam film. The film, touted to be the 41st collaboration of the actor-director duo will be bankrolled by veteran Malayalam actor-turned-producer Maniyanpilla Raju.

The film also marks the Mollywood comeback of popular art director Sabu Cyril after 6 years. The national award winner's last Malayalam film was the 2011 Mohanlal - Priyadarshan hit, Oru Marubhoomikkadha.

Written by T.K Rajeev Kumar, the yet to be titled film will be made on a budget of Rs. 30 crore, to become the biggest Malayalam film till date. The previous record was held by last year's Mohanlal blockbuster, Pulimurugan.

Speaking to the media, Maniyanpilla Raju stated;

"Mohanlal and Priyadarshan are teaming up for my upcoming film, which will be made on Rs. 30 crore. We are currently busy with film's casting. The heroine of the film will be finalised in few days. An official announcement on the film along with cast and crew details will be unveiled soon".

Meanwhile, Mohanlal's upcoming film, Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol is scheduled to be released in the last week of January. The film was earlier scheduled to release in Christmas 2016, but later postponed owing to the strike between Kerala film distributors and theater owners.
