Thalapathy Vijay's Diwali blockbuster Mersal has achieved another feat to its credits. The film, directed by Atlee and produced by Sri Thenandal Films starred the Tamil superstar in triple roles.
On its opening day, Mersal emerged as the all-time highest opener at the Chennai Box Office. The Thalapathy Vijay starrer had broken the records set by Rajinikanth starrer Kabali to do so. The film also became the fastest Rs. 100 crore grosser in Tamil Nadu and went onto become the fifth South film to cross Rs. 250 crore mark at the Box Office worldwide.
And now, Mersal had clocked yet another record to its name as the Thalapathy Vijay blockbuster clocked the 25th position among the list of highest grossing Indian films at the Box Office worldwide. Aamir Khan's Dangal clocks the top position followed by SS Rajamouli, Prabhas blockbuster Baahubali 2.
