Mariyappan : Shah Rukh Khan unveils Aishwarya Rajnikanth's film

The first look of Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth Dhanush's upcoming film, Mariyappan is out. Touted as a Tamil - English bilingual, the film is a biopic on Indian Paralympic high jumper Mariyappan Thangavelu. The film depicts the spotlight on the life of the 21-year-old high jumper from Salem, Tamil Nadu.

The first look poster was unveiled as a New Year tribute to the 21-year-old national hero. Interestingly, the first look was launched by none other than Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. SRK tweeted about it too.

Mariyappan is a handicapped athlete who brought a lot of glory for the country. In 2016 Summer Paralympic games held in Rio de Janerio, Mariyappan won gold for in high jump in T-42 category.

Mariyappan made a winning leap of 1.89 meters at the same, putting his Periyavadagampatti village on the global map.

At the age of five, Mariyappan had lost one of his legs in an accident.

The film will have music by Sean Roldan while cinematography by Velraj. The dialogues of Mariyappan has been written by journalist-turned-director Raju Murugan of Cuckoo and Joker fame.
