Mammootty's Masterpiece trailer unseats Mohanlal's Pulimurugan trailer to​ set this unique record

The much awaited trailer of Mammootty's Masterpiece has been released and already started creating records on social media. The film, tipped to be an out-and-out mass entertainer also stars Unni Mukundan in a pivotal role. Masterpiece marks the third collaboration of the Mammootty-Unni Mukundan duo after Bombay March 12 and Fireman.

The action packed trailer, which had released on Thursday evening has set the social media on fire by raking in huge shares and likes on Facebook.

And now, Masterpiece trailer has scripted history in Malayalam cinema by becoming the fastest trailer to cross 1 million views. The trailer of the Mammootty starrer unseats Mohanlal's Pulimurugan trailer to set this unique record. Within just 27 hours, Masterpiece trailer has clocked 1 million views with 12.3 lakh likes on social media.

Mammootty will be seen as college professor Edward Livingston while Unni Mukundan essays the role of a police officer John Thekkan.

Directed by 2014 hit Mammootty starrer Rajadhi Radha fame Ajai Vasudev and produced by CH Muhammed of Royal Cinemas, Masterpiece also stars an ensemble star cast including Santhosh Pandit, Mukesh, Salim Kumar, Maqbool Salmaan, Kailash, John, Arjun Nandakumar and Maqbool Salmaan.
