Malayalam superstar Prithviraj to join Akshay Kumar in Baby prequel?

Malayalam superstar Prithviraj's upcoming film Oozham is slated to hit the screens soon. In an exciting turn of events for the two-time Kerala state best actor award winner, he has been touted to play the main lead in the prequel to 2015's Akshay Kumar hit film, Baby. The film also marks the Prithviraj's third Bollywood outing after Aiyya and Aurangzeb.

Reportedly, the prequel is based on the character played by Taapse Pannu, Priya Suryavanshi, focusing on her journey to becoming a RAW agent in Akshay Kumar's team. The Bollywood Khiladi will have an extended cameo role as lead of the RAW operation, Ajay Singh Rajput. Interestingly, Bhaag Johnny fame Shivam Nair will direct the film instead of Baby's director Neeraj Pandey. The film also stars Manoj Bajpayee.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj's Malayalam film Oozham is slated to release on 8 September 2016. Written and directed by Jeethu Joseph of blockbuster Drishyam fame, Oozham is a joint production of C George and Anto Padinjarekkara.
