Mahesh Babu, Dulquer Salmaan applauds Ok Jaanu Trailer

The trailer of Shaad Ali's upcoming film, Ok Jaanu is out. Jointly produced by Mani Ratnam and Karan Johar, the film is an official remake of Mani Ratnam's 2015 Tamil film OK Kanmani. The romantic-entertainer stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles. The film also marks the second collaboration of Aditya - Shraddha duo after the 2013 blockbuster​, Aashiqui 2.

The trailer has been praised for its dream casting and cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran. In fact popular South film stars Mahesh Babu and Dulquer Salmaan took to their respective Twitter pages to applaud the trailer.

Dulquer Salman, the Malayalam actor who essayed Aditya Kapur's role in the original version, Ok Kanmani tweeted ;

This is such a wonderful take on #OKKanmani! Lots of love to Karan, Shaad, Aditya, Shraddha and the whole team.

​Shraddha Kapoor will reprise the role of Nithya Menen in Ok Jaanu. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on 13 January 2017.
