While Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are battling it out in Bollywood with their respective Ramzan releases Sultan and Raees, the same clash can be seen in Mollywood with Mohanlal's Pulimurugan and Mammooty's Kasaba Police.

The release date of the Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan has once again been postponed. The film was supposed to release on 13 December, 2015. However, it was postponed to summer, this year.

And now, according to the latest update, the release date has again been pushed and the film is now eyeing a Ramzan 2016 release. This ensures the biggest clash of the year in Mollywood as the Mammootty starrer Kasaba Police is also releasing during Ramzan. Directed by debutant Nitin Renji Panicker, it will see Mammootty in the role of a police officer.

Pulimurugan, on the other hand, is touted as the biggest budget Malayalam film ever made. Produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam and directed by Vyshak, the film's budget is reportedly a whopping Rs 18 crore.

The first look of the film was released on 6 August, 2015 and it garnered fantastic response on social media platforms. The makers roped in renowned action director Peter Hein to direct the stunts.

According to rumours, Mohanlal has lost as much as 6 kgs to portray the character of a hunter in the film. The superstar performed all his stunts himself, including some high voltage fight sequences with a real tiger. Most of the scenes were shot in Vietnam, a first time for a Malayalam film. The film will be released in China and Vietnam as well.
