Kirik Party : Rakshit Shetty film inching towards 100 days, Telugu remake rights sold for record price

Rakshit Shetty's Kannada blockbuster Kirik Party is nearing its 100 theatrical days at the box office. Directed by Rishab Shetty and jointly produced by G.S. Guptha and Rakshit Shetty, the campus-entertainer was released on December 29 2016. Kirik Party marked the acting debut of number of fresh faces including the leading heroines Rashmika Mandanna and Samyuktha Hegde.

Upon its release, Kirik Party, which had made for a budget of Rs. 4 crore went on to become the surprise hit of the year. The film has already grossed Rs. 50 crore at the box office worldwide. Kirik Party is still running to packed houses in limited cinemas across the Karnataka.

Kirik Party has now set a unique record as the Telugu remake rights of the Kannada film have been sold for a price of Rs. 50 lakhs.

The Belageddu video song from Kirik Party has already crossed 10 million views on YouTube.
