Kesari: The stunning first look of Akshay Kumar from the Karan Johar film gets a big thumps up from these South film stars

It's known that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and director-producer Karan Johar have teamed up for a film based on 1897's epic Battle of Saragarhi. The film titled Kesari is being directed by Anurag Singh and bankrolled by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions.

Akshay Kumar will be seen portraying the role of Havaldar Ishar Singh, a military commander of 21 Sikh soldiers who fought against thousands of Afghani invaders. The national award winning actor also unveiled his look from Kesari, which had gone viral across the social media.

Interestingly, Akshay Kumar's stunning first look from Kesari gets a big thumps up from South film stars as well.

South film beauties Rakul Preet, Raashi Khanna took to their respective Twitter pages to express their views on Akshay Kumar's look from Kesari.

In return, the Bollywood Khiladi wasted no time to thank them back.

The makers have roped in Lawrence Woodward, the stunt choreographer of Hollywood film like Mad Max: Fury Road and Moulin Rouge to direct the stunts in Kesari. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on Holi 2019.
