Kerala Box Office: The combined first day business of ​​​​Thaanaa​ ​Serndha​ ​Kootam​ and Sketch are lower than Mersal's opening day collections

Friday saw the release of two major Tamil films at the Kerala Box Office, Vikram's Sketch and Suriya's Thaanaa Serndha Kootam.

While Thaanaa Serndha Kootam opened to good occupancy on its opening day in Kerala, Vikram's Sketch saw an average response at the Box Office.

On its opening day, Thaanaa Serndha Kootam witnessed a massive release in more than 200 screens at the Kerala Box Office. Despite clashing with Sketch, the Suriya starrer had minted nearly Rs. 2 crore across the cinemas of Kerala.

Meanwhile, Sketch had an average opening day at the Kerala Box Office. The Vikram starrer, which had released in 156 screens opened to dull occupancy in the morning/noon shows at the Kerala Box Office. However, the mass entertainer picked up hugely in the evening and night shows and grossed more than Rs. 1 crore on its opening day.

Interestingly, the combined Kerala first day business of Thaanaa Serndha Kootam and Sketch are lower than the opening day collections of Thalapathy Vijay blockbuster Mersal, which had minted Rs. 6.11 crore upon its theatrical release.
