Kerala Box Office: Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal unseats Dulquer Salmaan's Parava to emerge the 6th highest grosser of 2017

Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal has successfully completed one month of its release at the Box Office. The action entertainer, which had released on 18 October as the Diwali release has set the Box Office on fire across all parts of India. Be it Tamil Nadu, Kerala or Karnataka, the Vijay starrer had already raked in maximum moolah from its one month theatrical run.

Upon its Kerala release, Mersal had emerged as the second biggest opener after Baahubali 2.

And now, the Thalapathy film has emerged as the 6th highest grosser of 2017 at the Kerala Box Office. Mersal unseats Dulquer Salmaan, Soubin Shahir blockbuster Parava to do so. At the end of one-month theatrical run, the total Kerala gross collection of Mersal stands at a whopping Rs. 22.5 crore, which is exceptional considering a non-Malayalam film.

Directed by Atlee and produced by Sri Thenandal Films, Mersal also starred Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha and Nithya Menen.
