Three Malayalam films released today. The Kunchacko Boban - Jayasurya starrer School Bus, Unni Mukundan-starrer Oru Murai Vanthu Paarthaya and Yodhavu, the Malayalam dubbed version of Allu Arjun's Telugu blockbuster, Sarrainodu.

As expected, Yodhavu opened to a flying start at the Box Office. The dubbed version of the Telugu action entertainer was released released on 81 screens, in fact more than both the Malayalam releases of the week.

Allu Ajun's stardom and the blockbuster verdict of it's original version, Sarrainodu did the trick for Yodhavu.

Sajan K Mathews debut directorial venture Oru Murai Vanthu Parthaaya opened to an average occupancy across theatres in Kerala. The Unni Mukundan - Prayaga Martin - Sanusha Santhosh love triangle was released on 59 screens. But the good news for the makers is that Oru Murai Vanthu Paarthaya is carrying positive reports from the audience. The audience has been praising the film for its smart direction, Abhilash Sreedharan's script and the performances of leading cast, especially Unni Mukundan, who is reportedly in terrific form in the film. The film's music was already a hit with the audience. The good reports indicate that Oru Murai Vanthu Paarthaya will find more takers over the weekend.

The third release of the day, Rosshan Andrew's School Bus opened to below par expectations. The film stars Kuncacko Boban, Jayasurya and Aparna Gopinath as main leads. The film is carrying negative reports from the audience, especially for it's screenplay and disappointing climax. It will be interesting to see how the film performs on weekends.
