Kerala Box Office: Dulquer Salmaan's Solo unseats Mohanlal's Pulimurugan to become biggest Malayalam release

Dulquer Salmaan's new film Solo released today at the Kerala Box Office. The film, a Malayalam- Tamil bilingual jointly produced by Abraham Mathew and Anil Jain marks the Malayalam debut of director Bejoy Nambiar of Shaitan and David fame.

A huge release was always on the cards thanks to the stardom of Dulquer across the Kerala. However, the makers surprised everyone by releasing Solo in a record number of 225 screens which is now the biggest ever Malayalam release in Kerala. The Kunjikka film unseats the Mohanlal blockbuster Pulimurugan record to do the same.

Solo is said to be an anthology of four stories about four different people. Apart from the Mammootty son, Solo also stars an ensemble star cast includng Neha Sharma, Dino Morea, Sai Tamhankar, Dhansika, Nassar, Deepti Sati, Sruthi Hariharan and Arthi Venkatesh.
