Kerala Box Office : Dangal shattered the lifetime collections of Sultan, emerges all-time Bollywood grosser

After becoming the fastest Rs. 1 crore grosser at the Cochin multiplexes, Aamir Khan's Dangal has now emerged as the all-time Bollywood grosser at the Kerala Box Office. Dangal has collected approximately Rs. 4 crore on its opening weekend at the Kerala Box Office to do so. It's worth mentioning that the Aamir Khan starrer has shattered the lifetime collection of Salman Khan blockbuster Sultan in one-week theatrical release at the Kerala Box Office.

Thanks to the dispute between the Film Producers Associations and Exhibitors association, none of the Malayalam Christmas releases hit the screens last week​ and this has worked in favor of Dangal at the Kerala Box Office.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and jointly produced by Aamir Khan and Siddharth Roy Kapur, ​Dangal is based on the true story of former wrestler-turned-coach, Mahavir Singh Phogat.​The sports-drama also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima, Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar.
