​Kerala Box Office: Anuraga Karikkin Vellam to give tough competition to Kasaba, Sultan in 2nd week.

Two non-Malayalam films are slated to release tomorrow at the Kerala Box Office, the Bollywood adult comedy, Great Grand Masti and the Hollywood fantasy adventure, Ice Age : Collision Course. Interestingly, tomorrow will be a non-Malayalam release Friday as last Eid week saw four major Malayalam releases.

As per early reports, Mammootty-starrer Kasaba and Salman Khan - Anushka Sharma-starrer Sultan are expected to dominate the second week as well. At Kochi multiplexes, collections of both film are at par which is surprising considering the fact that Sultan had to face four Malayalam releases at Kerala Box Office. Plus, the fourth Malayalam release of last week, Anuraga Karikkin Vellam is carrying positive reports and is sure to give tough competition to the films featuring India's two big superstars.

Early trend suggests the Biju Menon - Asif Ali-starrer has received more screens than Kasaba and Sultan at Cochin multiplexes which gives the film an outside chance to perform well on second weekend. However, it will be interesting to see how these Eid releases will perform after 22 July, 2016, with the release of Rajinikanth-starrer Kabali.
