Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam 2 joins Diwali 2016 Box Office race, to clash with Vijay 60 and Vikram's Garuda

Tamil cinema lovers will be spoilt for choice this Diwali as three superstar films are lined up for release on the auspicious occasion. Earlier Catch had reported that this Diwali will see a Box Office clash between Ilayathalapathy's Vijay 60 and Chiyaan Vikram's Garuda. Now the latest addition is veteran actor Kamal Haasan's dream project, Vishwaroopam 2, which is also slated to hit the screens on the same day.

Vishwaroopam 2, a sequel to the Ulaganayagan's 2013 hit, Vishwaroopam, is one of the most-awaited films of the year. Written and directed by Kamal Haasan himself, the Tamil-Hindi bilingual sequel will see Bollywood actor Rahul Bose, director-actor Shekhar Kapur, Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah reprising their respective roles from the original.

Reportedly, the shooting of the film has been completed several months ago and currently the makers are busy with the post production, including graphics and VFX of the film. Touted as a spy-thriller, Vishwaroopam is produced jointly by Viswanathan, Ravichandran, Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor.
