The much-awaited film of the year, Rajinikanth-starrer Kabaliis set to hit the silver screens soon. Directed by PA Ranjith, the Thalaiva-starrer is super hot in trade, thanks to the never-seen-before promotions, including the recent Air Asia domestic flights painted with Kabali posters.
Earlier, Catch had reported that Kabali's release date will be announced on Friday. But producer Kalaipuli S Thanu has now decided to postpone the announcement of the release date, citing a delay in the film's censorship. The film will officially go for censorship on 7 July, 2016. The makers are expected to announce the release date in a couple of days with the presence of lead actor Rajinikanth, who will be back in Chennai on Friday evening from the US, where he had gone for medical treatment.
However, Kabali's run-time has been revealed as a section of the Tamil media reported that it is 2 hours and 32 minutes (152 mins) long.
The film is set to release simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malay and Mandarin.
