The first schedule of legendary Tamil actor Rajinikanth's upcoming film Kaala Karikaalan has been wrapped up in Mumbai. The film, a gangster-drama directed by PA Ranjith of Thalaivar’s previous blockbuster Kabali fame is bankrolled by Dhanush under his home production Wunderbar Films. Kaala Karikaalan also marks the 164th film of Rajinikanth’s acting career.
In Kaala Karikaalan, Rajinikanth will be seen portraying a man from who flees to Mumbai in his childhood and goes on to become a powerful don of Dharavi slums in Mumbai. The film is the first collaboration between Rajinikanth with his son-in-law Dhanush. The Kolaveri Di star has earlier produced films like Visaaranai, Kaaka Muttai and Power Paandi.
After shooting for 12 days in Mumbai Kaala Karikaalan team wrapped up the first schedule of the film on Tuesday. Reportedly, Rajinikanth will fly back to Chennai today and will meet his fans on June 15th. The first fans meet witnessed the Enthiran actor lash out at current politics and hinting about his political entry. There are also reports that Rajinikanth will be forming his own political party before August.
