Looks like the upcoming film of Mohanlal's Villain is on a pre-release record breaking spree. The Mohanlal starrer is two-weeks away from its release, but the action thriller is continuing its terrific pre-release.

Catch had previously reported that Hindi dubbed rights of Villain have been sold for Rs. 3 crore to become the first Malayalam film to do so.

And now, Villain is once again in news as the overseas rights of the Lalettan film have been sold for an all-time record price.

The overseas rights of Villain have been sold for a massive Rs. 2.5 crore. Interestingly, Villain unseats the 2016 Mohanlal blockbuster Pulimurugan's record of rs. 1.75 crore to do so.

Directed by B Unnikrishan and produced by Rockline Venkatesh, Villain also stars Manju Warrier, Vishal, Hansika, Raashi Khanna, Srikanth, Renji Panciker, Siddique and Chemban Vinod Jose.

Villain is scheduled to release on October 27.
