Mohanlal's Onam release Velipadinte Pusthakam is just one day away from its theatrical release. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor, the campus entertainer has been directed by hit maker Lal Jose with music from Shaan Rahman. Velipadinte Pusthakam marks La l Jose 's first association with the Malayalam superstar in his 19-year-long career.

Though the buzz of the film is already excellent in Kerala, surprisingly Velipadinte Pusthakam is making headlines in non-Malayalam markets as well especially in Chennai and Bangalore. The song titled 'Entammede Jimikki Kammal' written by Anil Panachooran and composed by Shaan Rahman has worked in favour of the film to attract the non- Malayalam audience as well. Similar to its response in Kerala, the light hearted funny number, jointly sung by singer-director-actor Vineeth Sreenivasan and singer of Kamal Haasan's Uttama Villain, Renjith Unni has met with positive response from non-Malayalam audience as well. The song has already crossed 3 million views within 10 days on YouTube.

Velipadinte Pusthakam also stars Angamaly Diaries actors Reshma Rajan and Sarath. Mohanlal portrays the role of a college vice-principal named Michael Idikkula in the film, which is slated to hit the screens on Thursday,
