Chennai Box Office : Yaman emerges first super hit of 2017, a hat-trick for actor Vijay Antony

Fans of Vijay Antony have all reasons to smile as the actor's recent release, Yaman emerges super hit at the Chennai Box Office. Directed by Jeeva Sankar and jointly produced by Allirajah Subaskiran and Fatima Vijay Antony under their banners Lyca Productions and Vijay Antony Film Corporation, the political drama was released on 24 February 2017.

The film which had opened to terrific response upon its release was rock steady in its third weekend as well. The Vijay Antony starrer had registered 85% occupancy on its third weekend at the Chennai Box Office. Yaman has so far minted nearly Rs. 2 crore to become the first clean super hit of 2017 at the Chennai Box Office. Yaman also emerged as hat-trick of super hits for Vijay Antony as the actor's previous two releases Pichaikkaran and Saithan were huge hits as well.

Yaman stars Malayalam actress Mia George in the female lead. The film also featured veteran actor Thiagarajan, Sangili Murugan and Arul D. Shankar.

Yaman tells the story of a man who enters political arena to fight corruption and avenge his father's death.
