The latest Telugu summer release of the year, the Trivikram Srinivas directorial A Aa opened on a good note at the Box Office. The film stars Nithiin and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles and also marks the Tollywood debut of Malayalam actress Anupama Parameshwaran, who made waves with the Malayalam blockbuster Premam.
On its opening day, the romantic family entertainer grossed a good Rs. 7 crore at Tollywood Box Office. The film has been praised for its strong emotional content and the performances of its lead cast -- Nithiin, Samantha, and Anupama. The film also did good business in Karnataka as well minting Rs. 1.25 crore.
A Aa is doing fantastic business overseas as well. On its opening day, the Trivikram Srinivas directorial grossed a whopping Rs. 4.25 crore at overseas Box Office, thus leading to an excellent Rs 12.50 crore on its opening day.
Malayalam actress Anupama Parameshwaran seemed to be on cloud nine with the opening response to her debut Telugu film.
In an exclusive interview to Catch, Anupama stated:
"I'm very happy with the response to my debut Telugu film, A Aa. It's been a great experience for me. New people, new language and new film industry. I'm so excited. My character, Nagavalli, is something which will stay really close to my heart. It's something different from Mary, the role I did in my first film Premam."
A Aa is all set to be the second summer hit of the year after Sarrainodu. From the early trends, the film is rock steady across all cinemas.
