It's known that SS Rajamouli blockbuster Baahubali: The Conclusion failed to become the all-time highest Malayalam grosser at the Kerala Box Office. Though the Prabhas blockbuster surpassed most Box Office records in India and emerged as industry hits in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages, but it failed to beat the Box Office collections of all-time Malayalam industry blockbuster, the 2016 Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan in Kerala.

Pulimurugan had minted a massive Rs. 87 crore to become the top-Malayalam industry hit while Baahubali 2 clocks the second spot by raking in Rs. 77 crore at the Kerala Box Office.

And once again, Baahubali 2 fails to beat Pulimurugan, but this time on the TRP ratings.

The Malayalam dubbed version of Baahubali 2 was premiered on Television for the first time on the auspicious occasion of Onam. The film was expected to break the all-time high TRP record set by Pulimurugan, but similar to its Kerala Box Office performance the SS Rajamouli film had to end its TV premiere as second most watched film of all time.
