Baskar Oru Rascal : Arvind Swami, Amala Paul starrer starts rolling

Malayalam director Siddique's upcoming Tamil film Baskar Oru Rascal starts rolling on Monday. The film, a remake of Mammootty's Malayalam blockbuster Bhaskar The Remake stars Arvind Swamy in the lead. Amala Paul portrays the role of Hima played by Nayanthara in its original version. Baskar Oru Rascal is Siddique's fourth film after Friends, Engal Anna and Bodyguard.

The shoot of Baskar Oru Rascal commenced in Cochin on Monday morning. The film tells the story of a short-temperedwidower Baskar and his life after meeting a beautiful single mother. Arvind Swamy plays Baskar while Amala Paul plays the role of single mother. Baby Nainika, the daughter of Tamil actress Meena and Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Theri fame has been finalised to essay the role of Amala Paul's daughter.


Meanwhile, Siddique has roped in Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt to star in the Hindi version of the film. The shooting of the Bollywood version is slated to begin after the release of Baskar Oru Rascal.
