Arjun Reddy: 2017's path breaking Telugu blockbuster completes 50 theatrical days

2017's path breaking Telugu film Arjun Reddy has completed 50 theatrical days at the Box Office. The film, which had released on 25 August marked the directorial debut of Sandeep Vanga and Telugu debut of Shalini Pandey. Produced by Pranay Reddy Vanga, Arjun Reddy starred Vijay Deverakonda of Pelli Choopulu in the titular role of Arjun Reddy.

Upon its release, Arjun Reddy, a low budget film made for Rs 5 crore, created headlines by minting over 31 crore worldwide within its opening theatrical week. In India, Arjun Reddy has minted Rs. 19 crore while at overseas the Vijay Deverakonda starrer finished the first week run with a whopping Rs. 12 crore to become a clean blockbuster worldwide. The film has opened to terrific reviews from the audience and critics alike. Though the run time of Arjun Reddy is 187-minutes long, yet it has been praised heavily for its bold theme and the brilliant performances of its lead cast especially Vijay Deverakonda, whose performance is touted to be a strong contender for next years' best actor category at national films.

The content of Arjun Reddy is so strong that top Malayalam film production house, E4 Entertainment has bagged the Tamil remake rights of the film within one month of its theatrical release. CV Sarathi, the joint founder along with Mukesh R Mehta recently announced the Tamil remake as their maiden Tamil venture which will also marks the acting debut of Chiyaan Vikram's son Dhruv Vikram.

Arjun Reddy, which is still playing to packed houses in limited screens across the Telangana has so far collected a whopping 42 crore from its 50 theatrical days.
