Vijay Babu celebrates blockbuster success of Vijay's Theri

​Vijay's Tamil blockbuster, Theri, has successfully completed 25 days at the Kerala Box Office. The thriller, from the kitty of director Atlee, released on 14 April. Theri has had a terrific run at the Box Office so far, with collections of Rs 16 crore at the Kerala Box Office alone​.​

Malayalam producer-turned-actor Vijay Babu, who is also the Kerala distributor of Theri, organised a party to celebrate the success of the Vijay-starrer at a multiplex in Trivandrum. The co-founder of Friday House Films shared a photo from the celebrations on Facebook. The Akashvani actor stated:

"Theri success celebration at Aries multiplex, TVM! Still going strong!"

The theatrical rights of the film had been sold to Friday Film House for a record-breaking price of Rs 5.60 crore. Theri had a record breaking opening at the Kerala Box Office, where it crossed the coveted Rs 10 crore mark in its first four days.

The film has broken the record - for the second-highest grossing Tamil film at the Kerala Box Office - set by Enthiran, which minted Rs 15.50 crore when it was released in 2010.
