2.0: Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar film to have a Rs 12 crore music launch in world's tallest building; here are the details

The audio launch of Shankar's upcoming film 2.0 is scheduled to be held soon. The film, tipped to be a sci-fi thriller, marks the first collaboration of two of India's biggest superstars, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. While Thalaivar portrays dual roles in 2.0 as Dr. Vaseegara and Robot: The Chitti, the Bollywood Khiladi essays the main antagonist role of scientist Richard. Produced by Lyca Productions for a massive budget of Rs 450 crore, 2.0 is the costliest Indian film to be made till date.

Lyca Productions are leaving no stone unturned to make their film one of the biggest Indian releases of recent times.

The makers are planning a dream audio launch for the Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar starrer. In fact , the makers have decided to spend a huge Rs. 12 crore for the music launch of 2.0, which is scheduled to be held in world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa, Dubai. Lyca Productions have already locked the date of audio launch as October 27 and booked three chartered flights to take the film's team and other guests from Mumbai, Chennai to Dubai and vice versa.

The music of 2.0 has been composed by AR Rahman. The action thriller also stars Amy Jackson, Kalabhavan Shajon and Adil Hussain. 2.0 is scheduled to hit the screens on 25 January 2018.
