Raju Mahalingam, the former Creative Head of Lyca Productions, who recently resigned from his post, revealed the actual reason to exit before the release of Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar's Rs. 450 crore film 2.0.

On Wednesday, Raju Mahalingam stated that he will be joining Thalaivar's political party and also revealed the reason behind his sudden exit from Lyca Productions.

"I have taken this decision after having closely worked with Rajinikanth for the past few years. Being humble, straightforward and honest are some of the qualities that every leader should possess. Apart from being a fan of him from childhood, these qualities of him made me choose this decision."

Directed by Shankar, 2.0 is scheduled to release in April 14 2018.
