1 year of blockbuster Janatha Garage: Jr.NTR thanks Mohanlal

2016's highest Telugu grosser Janatha Garage has completed one-year anniversary of its theatrical release on Friday. The Koratala Siva directorial, which starred Mohanlal, Jr NTR, Unni Mukundan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen in lead roles was released on 1 September 2016. The film also starred Sai Kumar, Rahman, Sithara, Devyani and Vidisha Srivastava in supporting roles.

On Friday evening Jr.NTR took to his Twitter account and thanked the Malayalam superstar for the 1 year anniversary of Janatha Garage. The role of a workshop owner named Sathya portrayed by Mohanlal has not only won the Telugu audience, but also helped Lalettan to bag fifth national film award. He also emerged as the top Indian actor with maximum national film awards as well.

Upon it's release, Janatha Garage has crossed the coveted Rs. 100 crore mark within six days to become the second fastest Rs. 100 crore Telugu grosser after Baahubali : The Beginning. The film also marked the first Rs.100 crore grossers for both the Malayalam and Telugu superstar.
