West Bengal: Woman allegedly gang-raped in front of husband and son by men she danced with at wedding party; arrested

Shockingly a woman was allegedly gang-raped at her residence by 2 men with whom she had danced at a local marriage function at Sitalkuchi village in Coochbehar district of West Bengal. The men gang-raped her in front of her husband and son after she refused to have physical relation with them.

According to the preliminary probe, the accused Pinku Burman and Krishna Burman were also the invitees at the wedding function where the victim had danced with during a general celebratory dancing programme on Monday night. The accused later followed the victim's family after the function and were rebuked after which they stopped following.


At the night, however, the two accused broke into the house, tied and gagged the victim's husband and held a knife at her son's throat and asked her to have physical relation with them. When she refused it, they allegedly raped her in front of her husband and son.

Police lodged a complaint against the duo on Wednesday evening and arrested them on Thursday morning. The rape, molestation and sexual crime against woman are the major issues of our country that is growing day by day. Sad by true today no woman or even minor is safe, whose fault is in it?
