We will send you to jail: Supreme Court to Ranbaxy promoters over unpaid dues to Daiichi
Drawing a clear line for the Ranbaxy promoters Malvinder Moha Singh and his brother Shivinder Mohan Singh, the Supreme Court has said that they would be sent to jail, if they don’t pay back the dues of Daiichi Sankyo.
News agency ANI tweeted, “The Supreme Court bench led by CJI Ranjan Gogoi said it will hear the contempt petition against former Ranbaxy owners Malvinder and Shivinder Singh on April 11, and if they are found guilty then Court will send them to jail.”

The apex court was hearing a plea filed by Daiichi Sankyo which is trying to recover Rs 3,500 crore which was awarded by a Singapore tribunal in a case pertaining to Malvinder and Shivinder Singh.
Earlier, the Supreme Court had sought a reply from the duo brothers in the same case and had sought a detailed plan about how they are planning to pay the Singapore based company Daiichi.
“You were the flag bearers of the pharmacare industry and it doesn't look good that you are appearing in court,” the apex court had observed last month.
Now, the next hearing is scheduled for April 11 over the contempt petition in the amtter concerning one of the top most brand for pharmaceuticals in India.
