Watch Video: 2 women create history by entering Sabarimala Temple, first time after court lifted the ban
Months after the Supreme Court’s verdict of lifting the ban on the entry of women between 10 to 50 years of age, 2 women in their 40’s created history by entering in the Kerala’s Sabarimala temple early morning on Wednesday.
The two women devotees Bindu and Kanakdurga entered & offered prayers at the temple at 3.45 am, reported News agency ANI. The women were accompanied by a small group of police personnel in civil and uniform. They had tried to visit Sabarimala Temple in December'18 but failed amidst massive protests.

The women devotees started their climb around midnight and reached the temple after 3:45 am and left after praying to Lord Ayyappa. Since decades women in their menstrual age have been restricted to enter the Lord Ayyappa temple that was lifted on September 28 last year in a historical verdict.
In the last week of December, two women had tried climbing up to Sabarimala but failed amidst massive protests.
