In a shameless display of power, a Congress candidate KN Tripathi has brandished a pistol after a brawl erupted between BJP and Congress workers in Palamu area on Saturday during the first phase of Jharkhand electoins.

As per information, it all began when BJP supporters allegedly prevented KN Tripathi from entering the polling station in the area.

Some supporters also allegedly turned to stone pelting after which Tripathi took out a pistol and waved it in order to fend off opponents and create fear. He can seen along with his security guards in the clip.

Following which few people raised slogans to drive him away from the location.

“KN Tripathi Murdabad ! Bandook nikalta hai!," said one of the protesters.

During the first phase of polling in Jharkhand today, 13 constituencies scattered over six districts Chatra, Palamu, Gumla, Garhwa, Latehar and Lohardagga are voting to pick their frontmam.

The majority of the constituencies where polling is being conducted are in Naxal infested areas.

Over 37 lakh voters, who are entitled to exercise their voting rights, will determine the electoral destiny of 189 candidates in the first phase of the Assembly polls.

Seciurity has been reinforced in these constituencies and requisite arrangements have been put to place at all polling stations.
