Let us inform you that over one lakh pilgrims have performed the yatra to the Amarnath cave in the past eight days. On Tuesday (July 9, 2019) another batch of 5,964 yatris left Jammu for the Kashmir Valley.

Every year, pilgrims from all across the nation visit the 3,880-meter high cave shrine of Baba Barfani in South Kashmir to pay their adoration. The only reason behind the successful yatra to the shrine is our Army personnel who risk their lives for the pilgrims.

The route to the shrine is full of adventurous as pilgrims have to travel through two routes i.e. 36 km Pahalgam track in Anantnag and the shorter 14-km Baltal route in Ganderbal.

Meanwhile, the video of ITBP jawans is doing the rounds on the social media platform and security forces are lauding for their selfless efforts for the safety of pilgrims.
