In a shocking act, a vending contractor was caught using water from a toilet for preparing tea and coffee. Onlookers filmed the whole incident, in which the vendor was caught red-handed filling water in his tea vending machine. In no time the video went viral on social media after which Railway authorities slapped him with rupees 1 lakh.

The video came in circulation on social media in the past few days, in which a vendor is seen filling two vending cans of tea and coffee while other is keeping watch outside a toilet. As per reports, the incident is said to have been recorded onboard Chennai Central-Hyderabad Charminar Express at Secunderabad railway station in December last year.

"An inquiry was conducted, and on the basis of it stringent action has been taken up against the Train Side Vending contractor for the section between Secunderabad and Kazipet, P Sivaprasad, with whom the identified vendor in the video was employed," South Central Railway (SCR) Chief Public Relations Officer M Umashankar Kumar said in a release.

Kumar also said that 'the two persons seen in the video are unauthorised hawkers.' Both the hawkers and many others have been removed from the Secunderabad railway station during an ongoing drive against unauthorised hawking, Kumar added. Railways officials are on a strict vigil in order to prevent the recurrence of such incidents, he said.

The Commercial Department of the SCR has been carrying out extensive drives against unauthorised hawking at Secunderabad railway station in the last few months, during which all such hawkers, including the two involved in the incident, had been removed, Kumar said.

A strict vigil was continuously being kept at various levels to ensure that no such incidents recur in the SCR Zone, the official added.
