                Bharatiya Jana Sangh leader Balraj Madhok died early on 2 May. The RSS activist was 96.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences on the death of the leader. Madhok was "selflessly devoted to the nation and society," the PM said.
PM Modi described Madhok as the person whose "ideological commitment was strong and clarity of thought immense". "His demise is saddening," he said.
Born on 25 February, 1920, Madhok was with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader. He was later appointed president of the Jana Sangh.
