Uttarakhand Shocker: 2 men chop off 17-year-old girl’s nose, assault her parents

In a heinous incident, a 17-year-old girl’s nose was allegedly chopped off by two men in Uttarakhand.

The shocking incident took place on Monday night. As per timesnownews.com, the accused men chopped off the girl’s nose after she resisted their rape attempts. Reportedly, the accused also assaulted the victim’s parents when they tried to rescue their daughter from them.


According to media reports, the accused and the victim live in the same village. Both the accused are adults.

At around 8 pm on the day of the incident, the two accused barged into the girl’s home and attempted to molest her.

When the teenage girl resisted, the accused men allegedly chopped off her nose and left the house.

The accused men allegedly used a sharp object to cut the victim’s nose. Police also received the photographs of the girl where she was bleeding.

As per reports, the accused men also assaulted the girl’s parents and then stole gold jewellery and cash worth Rs 20,000. After the incident the girl and her parents were rushed to the district hospital where treatment is being administered to them, The Times of India reported.

On Tuesday, police filed a complaint in relation to the case. According to SDM Bagesgwar, Rakesh Tiwari said, "We also visited the houses of the accused on Wednesday but both of them are absconding. We are investigating the case and both the accused will be nabbed very soon."

SDM said that the probe of the case will be handed over to the police as the administration does not have any female official who can lead the investigation.

Meanwhile, the accused were booked under section 376 (punishment for rape) and 354 (assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
