Uttarakhand: 10 killed, 38 injured after bus falls into gorge

Ten people were killed and over 38 others injured when a bus fell into a gorge at Tiuni in Uttarakhand.
The mishap occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it skid into the 200 metre deep gorge, ANI reported.
The injured were rushed to a local hospital. Seven of the passengers are reported to be in a critical condition.
According to media reports, six people died on the spot while four others died at the hospital. The bus was on its way from Tiuni in Dehradun district to Vikasnagar when the mishap occurred.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat and governor KK Paul expressed their grief over the accident and have directed the officials to ensure that the injured persons get the required treatment.
