Twitter sends its prayers, wishes for Jayalalithaa's speedy recovery

Tamil Nadu's iron lady, Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Chennai in October due to a lung allergy, following which her health fluctuated up and down. It was only last week that the hospital issued a statement that said she is on the path to recovery, providing relief to her beloved supporters.

However, late on 4 December, news of Jayalalithaa suffering cardiac arrest spread like wild fire and thousands of supporters gathered outside the hospital and residence of the 68-year-old to pray for her health. The hospital, on 5 December, released a statement saying she is receiving treatment but her condition remains critical. A team of doctors from AIIMS, Delhi, has reached the hospital to attend to her along with Dr. Richard Beale from London.
