Two men were shot dead by security forces in Shadnagar, 50 kilometers away from Hyderabad on 8 August.
The two were gunned down in a joint operation carried out by the local police of Telangana and the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).
According to ANI, one of the suspects, has been identified as Naeem - a gangster who is wanted in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The police reportedly arrived at the spot after a tip off from the locals. SP Rama Rajeshwari told ANI that the men started firing at the police after they were spotted.
An AK 47 and a pistol was recovered from the car that the men were sitting in. The driver of the car fled from the spot and search operations are underway, Rajeshwari said.
"We will register a case on the exchange of fire, and depending on whatever evidence comes forth," the police said.
