Former Jharkhand CM Madhu Koda had moved an application in special court seeking summoning of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as an accused in a coal scam case.

Koda is an accused in the coal block allocation scam. Earlier this year, CBI had filed a chargesheet against Koda in connection with the 2008 Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block allocation case. Along with Koda, former Congress MP Naveen Jindal and former minister of state Dasari Narayan Rao have also been chargesheeted under Prevention of Corruption Act.

In July, Rao after attending a hearing in the case had reiterated that it was former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who was heading the Coal Ministry at that time and took decisions of allocation.
