Sridevi Funeral Updates: Private Jet carrying mortal lands in Mumbai; Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor receive at airport, funeral to take place tomorrow

The private jet carrying the mortal remains of Veteran actress, Sridevi along with her husband and stepson, Arjun Kapoor has taken off from Dubai to reach India.

An official statement has been given out by the Kapoor family stating the details of the funeral of the veteran actress Sridevi. The statement goes as follows:

1. Condolences and last respects:

As per the reports by the Gulf News, Sridevi's body has reached the Dubai International Airport and a private chartered jet will carry her body along with her family members to India.

The sudden death of the Bollywood actress Sridevi wife of filmmaker Boney Kapoor has given a big shock to the nation and beyond. The actress died mysteriously in the bathtub of her hotel room in Dubai.

Earlier media reported the actress died due to major cardiac arrest later the Forensic report from Dubai's investigation team revealed that the actress died due to accidental drowning in a bathtub.

Recently the Dubai Police gave a clearance to release the mortal remains of Sridevi. In a short while the embalming process will start to bring the body home for cremation, ending a two-day long wait of Kapoor family.

5:02 pm (IST) Indian consulate will now cancel the passport of late actor Sridevi and post all the formalities are complete, the family will fly back to Mumbai from Dubai Airport.

4:46 pm (IST) The embalming process is complete and the mortal remains of Sridevi reached Dubai airport.

4:18 pm (IST) Sridevi's funeral is expected to take place at Pawan Hans at 1 pm in Mumbai on Wednesday.

4:16 pm (IST) According to media reports, the estimated time of departure from Dubai is 6.30pm IST, as per the filed flight plan and will reach Mumbai, India at 1030pm. The mortal remains of Sridevi and Kapoor family will return with her body on private Jet belonging to industrialist Anil Ambani.

4:09 pm (IST) The death certificate has been issued to Sridevi's family after the closing of the case. Sridevi's body is likely to arrive at the embalming center. The procedure will take over 1.5 hours and the body will be flown to Mumbai in a few hours from now.

3:07 pm (IST) Consulate General of India in Dubai, in a tweet, confirmed that Dubai police today handed over the letters for the release of Bollywood diva Sridevi's mortal remains to the Indian mission here and her family for embalming.
