Social media users claimed Muslims are the reason behind rape case against women in India; here's the reality

A few days back, a survey released by ‘Thomson Reuters Foundation’ was quite controversial. Even some community have shown their anger against such survey in the country. In this survey, an attempt was made to conclude that Indian is a land of rape and also tried to title the country as the most dangerous and unsafe place in the world.

However, the controversy didn’t end with this survey that another controversy gets raised on the social media. Now, some social media users claiming that the community behind the rape cases in India is only one specific community i.e. Muslim community.

With the help of some figures, people are trying to give the communal angle to the rape crime cases. However, rape cases are the most embarrassing and shocking incidents which put the humanity to feel shame.

Hegde Postcard news website co-founder Mahesh Vikram Hegde who has been jailed in March 2018 in the case of spreading the Fake news. He claimed through his tweet on Twitter that 84,734 rapes cases were registered in India from 2016-18 and out of the total case there are 81,000 cases showed that the accused were from the Muslim Community. It has been also said that 96 per cent were non-Muslims women against whom such heinous act has been done.

Well, there were also Twitterati who raised their voice against the tweet and demanded the proof of his survey.
